Hi, welcome to the Daily Spin. I'm Steve, the owner of inlineskates.com, and today, joining us is Mike Powell from K2, the skate guru, straight from Seattle. Thanks for joining us, Mike. Thanks for having me. I like that sport jacket you got on. Thank you very much. So, let's talk about the Kinetic 78 Skate for men. This is the opening price point, sort of beginner skate for men from K2, right? And it's got the basic Softboot Technology and all the things you need for an inline skate so why don't you kind of go over those with us. So, what we've got here is pretty much your basic Softboot here from K2. You've got the support of the cuff right here. You got a nice composite frame that's going to absorb a lot of road vibration. You got a 78mm wheel and an ABEC 5 bearing. What that does is it just creates a good platform for learning how to skate. This skate is great for the new skater. You know, value-oriented customers might head this way as well but it's just a great, all-around skate, and it's the start of the K2 line. It only gets better from here.
And then in terms of closure systems, you got really three ways to help to keep that skate tight and real supportive. Can you go over those? Yep, so you're going to have your traditional lacing system. That's going to get your skate nice and snug up here in the forefoot. Your Powerstrap which is going to really lock that heel back in the back of the skate in that ankle pocket. And then you're ratcheting buckle here which is going to create a lot of support of this cuff. It's going to close it and make it really easy to get that great support. So, if somebody wants to get into inline skating for the first time or a kid who has sort of outgrown the kid sized skates, this is probably a great place to start. Yeah, it's a great place to start in the line. You get the feel of the Softboot and it's a great place to start. Without having to spend a lot of money. Exactly. Ok. There you go. That's the K2 Kinetic 78 Skate and thanks for joining us on this edition of the Daily Spin.
