Hi, welcome to the Daily Spin. I'm Steve, the owner of inlineskates.com, and with us today is Mike Powell straight from K2 hedaquarters in Seattle. Thanks, Mike. Hey, thanks for having me. And in front of me is the K2 Kinetic 78 for women. So, this is the opening price, sort of beginner, skate from K2 getting them into a true K2 skate for kind of first time skaters, right? Exactly. So, let's talk about the skate a little bit. Can you tell us a little bit about it? Yeah, so, what you get here is the K2 Softboot which is the foundation of K2 Skates. It's how we build a skate like a performance piece of footwear, it gives the best fit out there. And then when you move to the rest of the skate, you know, your closure, your frame. wheels, bearings, you know, we made this easy to buy at a great value so you get your traditional lace system here which is going to keep your foot snug in the front. Powerstrap is going to hold that heel back into the heel pocket. And you get your ratcheting buckle here which really engages the support of the cuff. As we move down, you get a composite frame. What composite frames do is absorb a lot of road vibration, make a smooth roll. And then you got your 78mm wheels with your ABEC 5 bearing which really is a great way to start for that new skater.

Nothing fancy but pretty much everything you need. Yeah. You've also got the little straps up to get the skate on up here, a little bit of a reflective quality in the back so people can see you while you're skating so everything you need to go out and enjoy skating for the first time. Exactly. And, you know, one thing that we're doing as well, and I say we're doing, we've done this for about 14 years now at K2, is you can see this pink ribbon here, we donate a percentage of sales to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and since 2000, K2 has given over two million dollars to that foundation so it's something real that we've been doing for a long time and we believe in with our women's products and something we're proud to do. So, you can enjoy skating and support a good cause at the same time. Exactly. Sounds good. Well, thanks, Mike, for sharing all the info. And that's the K2 Kinetic 78 for women. This has been the Daily Spin. Thanks for joining us.
