Hey, welcome to the Daily Spin. I'm Rob from inlineskates.com joined today by Mike from K2. Mike, thanks for being here. Hey, thanks for having me.

So, we're talking about the Charm X Boa and the Sk8 Hero X Boa. Really great skates in K2's junior lineup. What's the first feature that really jumps out at you with these skates? Well, the first feature that really jumps out I'd have to say is the Boa...no, actually the first feature that jumps out is the K2 Original Soft Boot because that is what makes K2 fit better than any inline skate on the market. Seriously, you try any other skate and then you try this skate, this skate is gonna fit better. It is the way that we build our skates is Soft Boot technology. We build them from the ground up like a high performance piece of footwear. For sure. They are so comfortable and it's such an important feature for kids. Kids don't like the skate feels, they're not going to want to use it and then the skate's are just gonna sit around collecting dust. True. So, another really incredible feature with this skate is the fact that it's adjustable. Yep, that is another very important feature. Parents are going to love it. 5 full sizes of adjustability. They adjust for width as well as length when you pull this out so at the push of a button you have a skate that's going to go from 1 year to 3 years right there. Absolutely. And then the lacing system, the closure system on this, the Boa is phenomenal for a kid's skate. It is. It's the best closure system so, you know, I have a 5 year old and I kind of look at the time it takes me to get my 5 year old out there and get his skates on. When we go with a traditional lace system, it's about 5 minutes to get in...5 minutes or so. Then we go to our speedlace system from K2, it's about 2 minutes to get in. I get his foot, I get the speedlace dialed, I tuck that in but then we move to the Boa skate and it's literally 30 seconds. I put his foot in the skate, by doing that, he's in, then I pop the Boa, I twist it...it's guaranteed for life and I have my kid in his skate in 30 seconds. It's amazing. Such an incredible feature making skating so much easier for kids now.

And now, moving down the skate, a unique set up for the wheels. Yeah, you know, you don't really see this on kid's skates too often but we wanted the kids to have the best of the best skates and we put a Hi-Lo frame on this for them so they get a 76mm wheels in the back, 72mm wheels in the front and what that does is it creates a really maneuverable skate, it also creates a ramp angle that'll get your kid in a more better skating position. For sure. And then still a composite frame on this skate too which will help absorb some of that vibration you're going to get from skating around outside. Yeah, you know, we've done a lot of tests out there and we've tested composite, we've tested aluminum. We found for kids this composite frame is definitely the best way to go. It sucks up the road vibration, makes the skating experience better and it's going to make your kid want to just step to that next level of inline skating. Absolutely. So, who are these skates geared for? They are geared for the kid and the parents that want the best. We put the best of everything K2 does in here. This skate has the Boa closure system, a supportive cuff and is great to learn how to skate or for that experienced skater as well. Absolutely. So, you can check out the Sk8 Hero Boa and the Charm X Boa on inlineskates.com and thanks for joining us on the Daily Spin.
