Product Photographer

Job Description:

We are looking for a Product Photographer with a wide range of photography experience. You will be responsible for producing still and in use product photography, taken in-studio or on-location for use in e-commerce websites, catalogs, emails, social media and other marketing mediums.

About the Job:

The Product Photographer will be working in our studio with the Photo Team taking stills and creating 360 spin views. You will also be retouching and preparing photos for output to use on our e-commerce sites.

YOUR WILL NEED TO:

  • Work with the Photo and Video Team to produce product images and 360 spin views for the e-commerce websites, catalogs, emails, social media and other marketing channels.
  • Have excellent photography skills, along with a strong understanding of lighting techniques.
  • Work with the daily photo schedule to ensure products of highest priority are shot and delivered on time.
  • Have a strong knowledge of DSLR cameras, related photography equipment, continuous/strobe lighting, white balancing, color management, photo editing/management programs, and the use of shared drives.
  • Generate product photography across multiple categories as needed (apparel, sporting goods, luggage, accessories, etc).
  • Encompass the same level of enthusiasm when shooting the first pair of ski boots as you do with the forty-first pair of ski boots
  • Have a strong work ethic and achieve results on a tight schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Excel daily in a studio environment with a high-volume workflow of still product photography.
  • Have good organizational skills to make the most productive use of your time.
  • Keep up with the minimum productivity standards set/expected within the department.
  • Be a proactive problem solver both technically and creatively.
  • Help the team continue to develop and refine the photography workflow and processes.
  • Produce professional, clear and detailed images of products with a variety of surfaces including chrome, glass, matte and various reflective materials as well as various sizes both over-sized and micro-sized items.
  • Follow procedures for naming, saving, archiving and outputting/ transmitting photo files for online use.
  • Assist in maintaining photo studio and equipment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or art degree from accredited institution OR 1-2 years experience in product photography.
  • Strong photography portfolio and demonstrated experience with understanding of tabletop product photography on an infinity white background.
  • Must be comfortable shooting in a variety of lighting situations.
  • Have a strong knowledge of computers and software on both Mac and PC systems.
  • Expertise with handling and troubleshooting DSLR cameras, studio lighting, metering & exposure, composition and white balance.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom (or similar software) with excellent post-production photo editing skills.
  • E-commerce experience a plus, but not required.
  • 360 spin and lifestyle photography experience a plus, but not required.
  • Travel: Must be able to travel for business when the department or company needs call for it.

Our Customer Care Department is open 6 days a week. As our holiday season draws nearer our hours of operation will be extended. However, right now we are open:

Monday-Wednesday: 10AM-6PM
Thursday-Saturday: 10AM-5PM

Primary Responsibilities:

A typical day entails answering inbound calls, e-mails and live chat inquires from customers regarding; new orders, order status, returns, inventory availability and product details. All of our orders are reviewed daily or multiple times, depending on the sensitivity of their status. Outbound calls and e-mails are a part of this review process so we may keep our customers as up-to-date as possible. Internal communication is also a significant activity in our department. A day doesn't pass where we don't talk to our store locations, warehouses, buyers, website development, and web content teams. This level of communication helps us to constantly improve our way of life and the overall flow of our productivity. Customer Care is on the front lines for our company and the customer experience is our highest priority.

Required skills/qualifications:

  • You must actively participate in Downhill Skiing, Snowboarding, Kayaking, Hockey or Inline Skating and have general knowledge of the equipment needed for the sport.
  • Have great verbal and written communication.

Shipping Associate

Job Description

The Shipping Associate will perform a variety of routine shipping tasks. They will pick and pack orders for internet customers as defined by the pick ticket and will ship in accordance with the specified shipping requirements. They will verify that the material is correct as defined by its label (i.e. part number, color, size, etc.). This position reports directly to the Shipping Director or in his/her absence, to the Assistant Shipping Manager(s). Shipping Associates need to have excellent organization skills, enabling them to quickly locate merchandise for distribution or placement within the warehouse.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently pull, stage, and load orders; padding, wrapping as necessary.
  • Ensure all products are shipped in good physical condition and are prepared so as to arrive in the same condition.
  • Work with Supervisor to organize the warehouse and maintain a safe and productive environment.
  • Report supply needs and/or equipment breakdowns to supervisor or lead.
  • Operate a pallet jack and possible forklift.
  • Prepare orders for shipment in accordance with the pick ticket and customer requirements.
  • Package and ship in accordance with packaging guidelines and accepted methods/practices.
  • Monitor packaging material supplies and notify the Manager when materials get to the restocking point.
  • Support receiving/shipping to unload/receive material as required.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in areas assigned.
  • Support a proactive safety environment, with emphasis on good housekeeping techniques.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Effective communication/comprehension skills - verbal and written.
