Great skates
Comments:
The new lace system is definitely a plus! The skinny laces worried me that they might not be very strong and therefore break, but the k2 Alexis boa laces are guaranteed! These skates are comfortable and roll smoothly over rough pavement. I wear an 8 or 8 12 in most shoes... The size 8 k2 skate fits perfect for me.

Extremely Comfortable, but Not Fast
Comments:
These are the most comfortable skates I've owned so far. There are no odd fabricspiecesedges that cause pain. I wear 8 to 8.5 shoes and the 8.5 fits me perfectly.

I do have two complaints. These skates are not fast. The wheels and bearings are not a high quality, and since I street skate, I will have to buy new wheels and bearings pretty quickly.

My other minor complaint is that when you take the brake off, as most skaters who know how to skate immediately do, you now have a bolt that doesn't work, because they make the brake bolts far longer and thicker. I had to call Inline Skates to get the extra bolts I needed. Why K2 doesn't provide these with the skates, I'm not sure. I nearly ruined my skates trying to make this work out and I went to six stores looking for the bolts before I figured I could call and have the problem resolved. Inline Skates did get these parts for me immediately.

great brand
Comments:
this skate is perfect to learn technique and feel comfortable on inlines. you could not ask for a better fitted skate. they roll fast with the ilq bearings and 84mm wheels. I've owned these for 3 months now and I just upgraded to 90mm indoor wheels. this was a great buy

Q: If the BOA closure system brakes is their a warranty on that? how can it be replaced? I have heard it does not last long by some retailers
Asked : May 27, 2014
By : Heather
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The BOA system on the K2 Alexis skates is guaranteed for the lifetime of the system by BOA directly. They will accept the item back to replace the system or send you an entire new setup kit to replace it yourself, depending on the issues encountered. As the warranty manager for the customer care team, I have only ever seen one BOA warranty issue in five years, and I consider it the most durable lacing system on the market.

Q: So this product can be ordered with 90mm wheels? Or do I have to order the wheels separate and put them on myself?
Asked : Apr 29, 2014
By : Bre, United States
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The K2 Alexis BOA skates come stock with the 84mm wheels but can hold a maximum wheel size of 90mm. You would need to purchase the 90mm wheels separately and you could then replace the wheels with the larger size.

Q: Is the sizing the same as shoe size? So if I'm a 7 I'll go for a 7 or should I go up a size? Thanks
Asked : Mar 26, 2014
By : woodzottp
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: With the K2 Alexis BOA skates, as with all K2 skates, you will want to order true to your shoe size for optimal fit. If you wear a size 7.0 shoe, go with the size 7.0 skates.

Asked : Feb 26, 2014
By : jenny, milton,fl
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: Yes, you can upgrade bearings on these skates. A grade of 9 is the highest for inline skates, and these K2 Alexis Boa skates have an ILQ7

Q: Is the brake on these skates removable? When it wears out can I change it? Thanks!

A: The brake assembly on the K2 Alexis BOA skates will indeed be removable, and the brake pads themselves can be replaced once worn down.
