My wife and I were looking for a set of skates to play with, and we had an incredibly hard time finding any K2's available in or around the Houston area. Looks like the Rollerblade brand has dominated the retail market. So we went online and looked at the sizing and measured our feet. We ordered a centimater over our real size and crossed our fingers. When they came in, they were a PERFECT FIT. PHEW! We were so happy to not have to return them and were so excited to get out there and have some fun.
These skates are amazingly comfortable. I used to own a set of Rollerblades long ago and also tried on another at a local sports store, and remembered how rigid they feel. They feel like hard stiff boots. They work, and I always thought that's how inline skates felt.... at least not until I heard of K2's and their soft boots.
These skates are flat out amazing. In no way do they compare to Rollerblades. They give you soft soft boots and allow you the flexibility to move your ankles, the way natural movement should be, IMO. Also, the quick laces are AWESOME! Holy moly. What an amazing feature.
My skates are being used for workoutfitness. Love it, love it, love it.
One of the least complicated skates to put on and take off. You're skating in no time. K2 wasn't responsive to my inquiries so I turned to www.inlineskates.com and their customer service was second to none. Highly Recommended!!!
The skates fit great and are incredibly comfortable after replacing the insole.
Starting on day 2, one of the Boa knobs started having problems locking and unlocking. It also jammed shut a couple times.
Boa offers free replacement parts (with tools) to fix any product that uses their lacing system, so if you can handle the possibility of needing to do a bit of simple maintenance from time to time, I would highly recommend these skates.
I used to skate when I was a kid, and I haven't done that since then. I used to have quad skates, so I decided to transition to inline skates. This skate provided a smooth transition for me, I'm still having some balance issues, but I'm progressing good.
I love the lacing system, its perfect for readjusting on the fly. The skate is very very very comfortable, and I use it to skate in the park. I used my friend's old K2 inline skate which is very close (specs wise) to this one, but it didn't have that new lacing system, and I didn't like it.
I was hesitant to spend a significant amount of money on new inline skates as I haven't skated in a number of years and am skating at higher weight than I've ever skated. These skates ROCK. The Boa System is incredible, the boot is comfortable, the wheelsbearings are high end, and they had this skate in Size 14! :-)
Overall, the fit of the K2 Boa system is as advertised; easy to slip on or off, easy to get a nice firm fit without binding. The wheel size is good for standard recreational usage, although the speed of the wheelsbearings as delivered are a bit underwhelming. Swapping out wheels is standard, with little overall trouble using standard tools.
Well Inlineskates.com was nice enough to award me the 500$ shopping spree!!!! So I figured I would get the aluminum frame that I had wanted when I bought my K2 80 fits I decided on this so I could try the boa closure and move into a slightly faster skate. All in all they are pretty nice a little less responsive then the 80's, but that happens with a larger wheel. I feel that the ankle support isn't the same as with the 80's however that could also be me adjusting to the wheel size. Great Skate BOA Closure is worth the money!!
A: The frame on the K2 FIT 84 BOA skates is non-removable and cannot be swapped out for a different model. There are other models with UFS (Universal Frame System) frames that can be swapped out for other frames, including longer ones, though.

Q: What are the colors on the frame and strap? Some pictures look red, others look orange.
