skates are good but the speed lacing doesn't work, doesn't hold.
I took those strings out and restrung it conventionally with a normal
string, that works fine.

Q: Can I upgrade the 84mm wheels to 90mm? On the 2016 model's wheel frame, it says 84mm are the max size but I saw some feedback on the web that the 2016 model can be fitted with 90mm wheels. is this true?

A: I don't personally know for a fact if they will fit. 2017 was the first time K2 published that the K2 FIT Pro 84 would allow 90mm max wheel size, before that the max wheel size was advertised as 84mm. Hopefully someone can verify that owns the skates.

Q: Hi- I havent skated in 20 years. My purchase will be basically for recreational(perhaps some fitness/rec neighborhood hockey/family stuff). I wouldnt say I have a E size width, however my foot is slightly on the wide side. Would this be a good choice for me?

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: At this time no inline skate manufacturer makes a wide width skate and all tend to be a fairly mid-wide design. The K2 softboot is definitely a great choice, the soft boot allows for those with a wider foot to still achieve a quality fit. Skates do tend to take some time to break in and you will really want to wear the skates about 6 times before you really get a real feel for the skates. Some with wider feet take skates a half size larger to give room for a heel lift which will lift the foot up in the boot to alleviate some of the side to side pressure, it doesn't sound like this is necessary in your case.

Q: So I'm looking to buy my first pair of skates, would these be a good idea to start with?
Asked : Mar 28, 2017
By : Cc, Fort Worth, TX
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: Yes, these are going to fit great without being too stiff and demanding making them great for beginner skaters, but these skates do have enough features to make them great for intermediate to light advanced skaters as well. The wheels on these skates are 84mm which are small compared to what else is available nowadays but is still a large wheel compared to what was offered 5 years ago, so just take it easy at first and start off in a flat parking lot or path to get your bearings.

Q: Will you have a size 10?
Asked : Feb 23, 2017
By : randomskater1802, Thornton Colorado
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: No, these are past season skates and we only have stock left in the sizes listed. We do have the current year model of this skate in stock in that size but it is a bit more in price due to being a newer model skate.

Q: Are these skates available in a wide width?
Asked : Jan 26, 2017
By : Mike, Strongsville, OH
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: At this time no inline skate manufacturer makes a "wide" skate. You can accommodate for width by adding in a heel lift to the rear of the skate. This will pull the heel up and alleviate some side to side pressure in the boot. In some cases it's best to go up a half size to accommodate for the extra width.

Q: Are these skates laterally adjustable? Are any K2 skates laterally adjustable? Would you consider listing lateral adjustability in your general skate specifications?
Asked : Jul 30, 2016
By : HillClimber, Hooksett, NH
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: These skates are not laterally adjustable. The Radical frames from K2 are the only ones that will offer lateral adjustment, and can be found on the K2 Radical 100

Q: Can I remove the brake? Do I need a different axle with the brake removed? Is one provided or available if going this route?
Asked : Jul 24, 2016
By : HillClimber, Hooksett, NH
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The brake on this skate is removable, and you will need a shorter axle when the brake is removed. The axle doesn't come with the skates but contact customer service at 888-271-7500 and they will get one sent out for you.
