  • Q:

I'm 21, 6'3" 260lbs I've been skating/playing hockey since I was 3 and I've been without an inline/roller skate for almost 3 years. I used to enjoy halfpipes when I wasn't playing hockey. With my size and experience how will this skate do for me. Will it endure, does it come with extra wheels? Can I purchase extra wheels? Thanks for the response.

Also is the skate size the same as show size. Or is it like an ice skate where its 2 sizes smaller?

      A:

Based on your stats, I would actually recommend going with a slightly more advanced and durable model than the K2 Fatty Pro. The K2 Varsity of Rollerblade Solo Estilo would be solid choices and will hold up better for you over time. None of the above models will come with extra wheels, although extra wheels are available for purchase, and all of the above models outlined will fit best if sized true to your shoe size.

      A:

With all K2 skates, including the Fatty Pros, you will want to order true to your shoe size for optimal fit. If you have wider feet you may want to order a half size larger than your shoe size for a better fit, as the K2's run a bit on the narrower side.

No as an aggressive skate, the K2 Fatty Pro's will only hold a maximum wheel size of 55mm.

  • Q:

I have a wide foot and have difficulty finding comfortable fit in shoes / skates. Does this skate come in wide widths or will it accommodate a wide foot?

      A:

All K2 models, including the Fatty Pro, tend to run narrower than normal widths. If you are looking for a skate that fits a bit wider than normal my recommendation would be to look at the Rollerblade brand.
