Gimmicky
Comments:
I got these at a local store. I needed skates right away for a vacation after breaking my old ones and these were the only decent skates I could find in my size in late summer.

These fit nice and I find them comfortable and well built. They run narrow which is what I need for my AA foot. Sizing is comparable to my running shoe size. I like the lace and strap system better than most other models but not as well as the straps on my old plastic-boot Rollerblades (all three straps of the same type as the top strap on these K2s). Those don't seem to be available on any skates anymore however, and these are far more comfortable.

The cons need to start with the Hi-Lo frame which features two wheel sizes, 80mm on the front and 84mm on the back. I'm not convinced it is anything more than a gimmick. There may be slight advantages but the disadvantages of wheel rotation and simply finding two different replacement sizes outweigh any advantages. And you do need to rotate and replace wheels often as these are 80a which is quite soft so they won't last long. Consider that with the purchase price, along with the fact that pretty much all skate wheels are sold in sets of 8 except the overly soft K2s. I'm also not convinced the lacing system will last, the laces are not wire as with the BOA series they are very thin lace. The lace release tab gets in the way of the top buckle on my size 13s, making it difficult to get the buckle tight and loosening the laces if you don't situate the strap correctly.

All in all, these are good skates so far but I would have preferred something either higher or lower in K2's lineup for practical reasons. I almost gave them three stars but the fact that K2 only offers short-life 80a replacement wheels is a blatent money-grab and reduces my opinion of all K2 skates by a full star.

Comfortable fit and I love the look.
Comments:
These are a better fit than my previous BOA style skates. They take a little longer to put on than the BOA lace style. I do like the pull lace system these have better than tie laces. Perhaps there is a trade off for better support. I have had a sore ankle after blading for extended periods even with an ankle brace. My first couple of runs with these and I had no ankle issues and it feels like better support. I also was impressed with the glide. I skate for exercise, I don't like skates so fast it takes no effort but I do like to be able to go fast when desired. My fourth pair of blades. I like them.

Good enough skates
Comments:
I am new in inline skating and this is my first skates. I like this skates. The main thing is that the boots are comfortable. So I can skate very long time and feel no discomfort. My regular shoes size is 11 or 11.5. I bought 11.5 K2 Fit X Pro.

K2 Fit X Pro - sizing runs small
Comments:
I had K2 skates years ago. I wear a size 12 and have medium width feet. I ordered a 13 and could not get my feet into the boot. They almost seemed about 2 to 3 sizes too small. I ended up returning them.

Q: When will you have stock for size 8.5?
Asked : Aug 19, 2014
By : Izut
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: At this time we do not have an anticipated time frame of when we will have more of the K2 Fit X Pro in any other sizes available.

Q: I have wide feet and my shoe size is 12. My question is, because I have wide feet, should I get the 12.5 size instead for a little extra space width wise?
Asked : Jul 20, 2014
By : Compi
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: Going up a half size, say from a 12.0 to 12.5, will not actually make the width any wider on the K2 Fit X Pro skates, it will only make it a bit longer. Unfortunately as there is no model or brand that makes wide fit skates, your best option will be to get true to your size and allow the skates to break in to your foot width.

Q: Two questions, First off do these skates come in any other color or is it just the black and orange, and secondly I wear a size thirteen skateboarding shoes (vans) so would the size of the skates I should get be the same as the shoe size I am currently wearing or am I going to have to go up/down a couple sizes.

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The K2 Fit X Pro only comes in the colors shown, and will indeed fit true to your running/tennis shoe size. So if you wear a size 13.0 you will want to order a size 13.0 in this skate.

Q: if u like to race can u go fast in these
Asked : Jun 15, 2014
By : lil man
Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The K2 Fit X Pro will have a solid top speed thanks to the 84mm wheels, however if you are going to be racing you would want to go to an actual speed or race skate, preferably with 100-110mm wheels.

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: All of the K2 skates, including the Fit X Pro's, with a metal frame should provide a durable design even for bigger guys. However there are not any skates currently out that are specifically designed to hold over 300 lbs.

A: The way the frame is set up on the K2 Fit X Pro's you will always need to utilize a Hi-Lo setup.
