I'm very athletic and use these rollerblades to workout, although I'm not an expertpro skater. They seem fast to me, but again I just use them recreationally. Very light and comfortable. I use them outside on paved roadsasphalt and they do well with small stickstwigs. I'm normally a women's 10.5 but ordered an 11 and they're perfect. I have skinny ankles and there is sufficient support and padding in that area so I'm comfortable. Great product!
A: The K2 Kinetic 78 skates, which do not come in half sizes, will fit a bit on the snug side as many K2 models do. Due to this, I would recommend that she should indeed go with the size 9.0 for optimal fit.

Q: This will be my first pair of inline skates. I would like a pair for mother's day but I'm not sure what size to buy them in. I am a 7 1/2 in tennis shoes and a 7 in my dress shoes. Do skates run pretty true to size? Also, are these good skates for outdoors?
A: Most recreational skates, including the Kinetic 78 Womens skates, will indeed run true to shoe size. If you wear a 7.5 in your running shoe, go based off of that size in the K2 skates. These will indeed be a good outdoor skate as well.
