Check out the K2 Kinetic 80 women's inline skates from K2! You'll find some of K2's best tech on this wallet friendly skate including K2's softboot, stability plus cuff, and quick speedlace closure system. The softboot is going to offer a great fit while providing comfort for long skate sessions. Inside the softboot is an antimicrobial footbed and an arch support for a stink free and supported foot. To give the softboot the proper amount of support is the stability plus cuff adding great power transfer from your foot to the skate. The quicklace literally makes short work of getting your skates on, and holds tight and secure while skating. Another added benefit of a quicklace system is how fast you can go from skate to slipper after a hard skating session. The K2 Kinetic 80 women's inline skates offers a lot of bang for little buck so be sure to try a pair out.

Searched a good bit, reading reviews and expert opinions before finally purchasing these skates. I've only used the old style of skates before so it took a few laps to get the feel of them. I only use them at the local skating rink so I c...Read More

Q: What size would you recommend for a woman with a shoe size of 8.0 and has wide feet?
Asked : Nov 16, 2016
By : Anonymous, Quezon City
Know the answer? Answer this question

A:It really depends on how wide of a foot she has, since inline skates fit very similar to shoe size it's not going to be recommended to go too large so going up to the size 9 would probably be too big. This is a soft boot skate and will break in so the size 8 with an aftermarket footbed or insert may be ok. Another option would be to go with a similar style skate in a men's skate and size it 1 full size down (so go with a size 7 mens). Men's skates are going to be a bit wider so they will accommodate a wide woman's foot well.

Q: Would you recommend this skate or a different one for a person with large/wide ankles? I typically wear a size 9.5 shoe, but cannot wear sandals or shoes with ankle straps.

A:Inline skates are not offered in wide widths, but with that said a skate like this is going to be your best bet. Since this has a soft boot design you can get a bit of break in with these skates. For those with a very wide foot I have sized up a 1/2 size and then added a heel lift or aftermarket footbed. The heel lift could offer some relief as it pulls the foot up in the skate and will alleviate some of the pressure on the sides. Another option would be to go with a men's skate as these will be wider than women's skates. If you go with men's, drop a full size from your standard shoe size to get the right size. Hope this helps! Just keep in mind inline skates take a couple times skating to break in fully.

Q: I wear a 6 1/2 shoe. These skates don't have half sizes. Would you recommend a size 6 or 7 or should I go with skates that have half sizes? Thank you for your time!

A:Inline skates are going to fit very similar to your standard athletic shoe size, with that being said the size 7 in this skate would most likely be perfectly fine for you. This skate is geared towards comfort and recreational skating and doesn't require a super tight fit as some of the higher end skates would, not to say you want too much extra wiggle room but the 1/2 size is not going to make or break the fit. It really comes down to the fit you desire in your skates.
