The K2 Uptown urban inline skates have some fantastic features making them a hard skate to pass up. Great performance from an aluminum frame and shock absorbing footbed meshes with unique features like glow in the dark accents to make a remarkable skate.
The K2 Uptown is in K2's lifestyle collection and one look at them it's easy to see why. The Uptown is a great skate for the city dweller looking for a funky and hip skate to take them uptown which is why the name is so fitting. The aluminum Free 243 frame offers a short wheelbase making turning a breeze while offering great power transfer thanks to the stiff aluminum. For when you want to get somewhere a bit faster the 80mm wheels and ILQ 7 bearings will oblige to the job giving just the right amount of performance while not being overly fast as to lose the control urban skates are known for. To ensure you get the support needed the K2 Uptown offers K2's aggressive cuff with a ratchet buckle top and Velcro powerstrap. And don't worry, if you feel like getting sketchy and jumping some gaps, the shock absorbing footbed has your back as well as your heels.
In a world of boring inline skates the K2 Uptown is here to break the mold. The K2 Uptown is definitely the skate you will want to check out.

Well I'm 37 and tho I don't look and act like it...I am...So I bought skates because let's face it...I needed exercise to replaced my nonexistent running regiment.Skates are so much better than running and way more fun/technical.The Uptowns have been a dream...I broke the top left ankle strap, but they still work plus I see Amazon sells replacements.I love the fact not a lot of people inline and yes I'm a person of color.People look at me and laugh because I'm tall and big,but K2 got the softboot down. These are tough, stylish, and easy to control skates.
For being advertised as a soft boot skate, very supportive, holds foot, heel & ankle in place. Have had now for almost three months, took about three weeks to break in, I skate 4 to 5 times a week, anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour. Took a while to get used to the flat foot position but now that I am, increases the balance, support and overall feel of the skate, also very responsive.
A:Yes, you can but only if you prefer a tight performance fit. I do this with my skates but keep in mind this will put your toes very tight to the front of the skates. K2 and Rollerblade skates do fit very similar to shoe size so can be taken the same as shoe size, but can also be taken a 1/2 size down for those looking for a tight performance fit.
A:Urban skates offer a more beefed up design so are going to be slightly heavier than recreational and fitness style skates. With that said the weight difference is not that drastic at all and really not noticeable once you are skating. I skate with both urban and fitness skates and the weight is never something that's on my mind when I skate with either.

Q: Hello! I've seen reviews over these skates and I'm just making sure but do they come with the optional glow in the dark laces?
