The K2 VO2 100 X Pro inline skates are the high end fitness skates you've been looking for. Great for athletes looking for a solid training session or a fitness inline skater looking for a top of the line skate with all the bells and whistles, the K2 VO2 100 X Pro is the skate you want. When you pull up to the park you won't have a whole lot of time between parking and skating thanks to the K2 Speed Lacing System found on the K2 VO2 100 X Pro. This system utilizes a grab, pull and lock system which is quick and effective both for putting on, and for taking off the skates. To give you the best cornering and top speed combination, the K2 VO2 100 X Pro offers K2's Performance Hi-Lo Frame which puts two 90mm wheels in the front and two 100mm wheels in the rear of the skate. This will help you get up to speed quick, corner easier, as well as maintain a top speed when skating. When you're out skating you will notice a nice flow of air going through your skates thanks to the Vortech Ventilation System which pulls out the stale air and forces fresh air through. Matched with the Vortech Ventilation System is an Antimicrobial footbed which keeps the stink out of your skates.
K2 skates are going to fit the same as your everyday athletic shoes

Compared to my oxygen 1.1s these are much faster but definitely more comfortable. A little harder to maneuver but understandable considering the huge increase in wheel size. The wheels last considerably much longer too. These skates are awesome! The laces are a bit fiddly but hold jut fine.
After roughly 20 years of use, my first K2 skates finally succumbed during a training session when the top buckle strap split. (And miraculously, a short tie down strap appeared on the road to allow me to finish the skate!) So, I could not even imagine another brand after a run like that. The X Pro was a step up from my old 80mm, ABEC 5 wheels but felt, very quickly, like an old friend, albeit, a much faster friend ; ) Fit was perfect to the same size 10 purchased years ago. I had just bought my girlfriend her first pair with the BOA system and was hoping for that system. I was leery of the tightening system on this boot but was pleasantly surprised at its ease of use and function. I have no use for the brake and only wish the skate came with the axle required once the brake is removed. I would not hesitate to move up to this skate if you have been skating a smaller wheel, comfortably.
A: Inline skates are going to fit very similar to your standard shoe size, some skaters looking for a very snug performance fit take a 1/2 size down but I wouldn't recommend taking skates any bigger than shoe size. Currently we do have the 2017 model of this same skate available in a size 9.5, it's a bit more in price but well worth getting the proper size.

Q: Could you please post a link to a replacement set of wheels for these skates, I am having trouble locating a set? Thank you
A: For these skates you need 4 90mm and 4 100mm wheels, unfortunately at this time we only sell 90mm and 100mm wheels in 8 packs. The Rollerblade Supreme would be a great choice, these wheels are quick and smooth with great performance. With the 8 packs you will end up with 2x the amount of wheels you need at this time but then you will have extras for the next time you need to replace the wheels. http://www.inlineskates.com/Rollerblade-Supreme-90mm-85A-Inline-Skate-Wheels---8-Pack/340755P,default,pd.html http://www.inlineskates.com/Rollerblade-Supreme-100mm-85A-Inline-Skate-Wheels---8-Pack/340754P,default,pd.html
A: Yes, these skates use 90mm wheels and 100mm wheels, so when shopping wheels you will just want to make sure to purchase the correct size to swap out. The wheels don't have to be the same brand as the skates as long as the size is correct.

Q: I see that these skates are rated for an advanced skill range. What is an advanced skill range considered? I have been skating a year and a half now, and want to do some long distance runs. I know this skate would be better to use than an entry level, but what is the main difference from beginner skate to these skates, and am i going to regret getting an advanced level skate when i have only been skating a year and a half?

A: I wouldn't read too much into the skill range; from the sounds of it you will be doing the type of skating this skate is meant for. Advanced skill rating means the skate has a bigger wheel, better bearing and a stiffer more performance oriented boot than models in the intermediate range. This skate is going to be great for longer runs since the larger wheel will help maintain an even pace and the smoother bearing will help keep you going. Sounds like you are a bit wary since you've only been skating for a year and a half but as long as you're comfortable on skates, you'll have no issue with these. If you're not used to such a large wheel just start out on some flat ground until you get used to it and then you'll be all good.

Q: Are these men's or womans? I wear an 8.5 woman's shoe. What size would you suggest?
A: These are sized in men's sizing so you will want to drop a full size from your regular shoe size to make up for that. These are not currently available in a size 7.5 so I would try the size 7 if you are keen on these skates.

Q: am i gonna be able to do short, sudden turn, jump, stop or slalom with this skate?cause i'd like to buy some fast and good maneuverable all together,, thank you

A: Well, sure to a point. These are not going to be the best for that type of skating as they have a slightly larger wheel and a more extended frame aimed at achieving higher speeds. For a good mix of speed and maneuverability you will want to take a look at some urban skates. These skates have medium sized wheels on a shorter frame making them much better for maneuvering in a quick manner.

Q: Is this skate light compared to other skates because I would like to be very agile in the rink and in outdoors. How would it compare to a hockey skate?
A: In the realm of fitness skates, yes, these are going to be very lightweight. They are not going to be quite as light as hockey skates but they will definitely be more comfortable for longer skates. I bounce around from roller hockey to fitness skates and the difference in weight is not going to hold you back unless you go with a beginner fitness skate which will often be heavier.

Q: Can you remove the brake and does it come with the tools to remove it. Also how do you remove it
A: The brake is removable, it requires an allen wrench which is not included. You can use a standard allen wrench set or purchase a skate tool from us. I always recommend grabbing a tool and keeping it with your gear. Removing the brake is fairly simple but you will find instructions on how to do so inside the skate's box.
