I haven't skated in a long time but used to consider myself an Advanced-Expert skater. I was pleasantly surprised by the difference between this soft-boot and my old hard- shelled boot. These skates are comfortable and easy to skate on right out of the box; especially with the BOA lacing. The ride is fast, smooth and responsive. The only problem is that the guy in the skates needs to regain his form to truly test these skates potential. Looking forward to it!
I am an advanced skater and have owned many pairs of skates in the last 14 years and these are the fastest and most comfortable skate I have ever owned. No break in needed. Extremely comfortable right out of the box. Well ventilated and well made.
A:Currently there are no inline skate brands offering wide widths in skates. For moderately wide feet you can typically have the skates naturally break in, and they will fit correctly. Most all inline skates now offer a soft style boot which is fairly forgiving for foot shape. I have sized skaters with an extremely wide foot into a 1/2 size larger skate to accommodate, and have added a heel lift in some instances. The heel lift can bring your foot up in the skate therefore alleviating some of the pressure on the sides due to the width.
