I've had these skates for about 9 months. I'm a 53 yr. old woman who has been inline skating for at least 25 years so I've been through a lot of skates. I skate 8 miles every other day. I almost always get a few blisters when I break in a new pair but not this time. They have great speed for someone who just wants to keep fit. The closure system could be less involved IMO ... laces, strap & buckle ... but the skate stays snug and that's what's important. You can't go wrong with these.
The product was great! These roller-blades are perfect for covering long distances in a short amount of time, and the quality is really good. The laces are difficult to get tight enough, so I would have liked some more support around the foot. Otherwise a really great product I would recommend.
Went to this larger 90 wheel and love it. Like to skate in an area with bumpier roads and this wheel makes the ride very smooth. The straps are easy to adjust, I like the ankle strap because it can easily be adjusted on the fly with a simple click.
I had to switch from another brand of skate back to Rollerblades, because my favorite brand stopped making skates. I thought it would be okay, because this particular pair of skates fit my foot pretty well.
However, just like the other reviewer said - after less than a year, the string on one skate broke, and just like that, I am out of luck. I should have known that metal grommet + ridiculously skinny string was a recipe for failure. And, because such a skinny boot lace was used, it is now hard to find replacement laces for the skate.
Brilliant design, Rollerblade - you would think after 25+ years in the business, you would know better.
I skate 6 miles every week. I had rollerblades before and I love them. These are hard to tighten. The laces ripped after a few weeks, and that's why the boot (which is too lose) starts hurting after 4 miles. So after 8 months of use, the laces are broken, I can not fasten them anymore, and I can throw them away. And a screw is gone too.
This is my first pair of skates but honestly there is too much ankle support that it kind of restricts movement but you get used to it, I reccommened for beginner looking for the best or an intermediate skater that wants a fast smooth skate that'll take you from point A to B in a second.
A: Absolutely, the maximum wheel size is 90mm so you can't go up, but you can easily and safely downsize the wheels to 80mm or 84mm. We offer a great selection of replacement wheels as well as the tools and guides to help you effortlessly get the job done. Hope this helps!

Q: What is the max load limit on these skates for women?
A: The Rollerblade Activa 90 skates do not have ABT (automatic braking technology) built into them. Currently the only skates Rollerblade produces that has this feature is the Bladerunner Performa ABT skates.
