Q: I have 90mm 84a wheels, seems like i need harder ones with less wear, are the 85a harder ,i skate on street

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The "A" rating, or durometer, does indicate an increase in wheel hardness as the number goes up, so an 85A will be harder than an 84A. In most instances an 84A wheel is more than enough for outdoor skating, but if you are having issues you could go with a wheel which is harder, or indicates "urban" in the title. Harder durometer wheels are a bit tougher, and urban wheels are designed to be beefier as well to hold up to urban skating.
