Big step up
Comments:
Huge improvement over my kids first adjustable skates. They keep up with me now. Faster and smoother with the larger wheels. We are just using for fitness on sidewalks and streets

Great skates, but...
Comments:
Well worth the extra money vs. cheaper skates. They are faster, sturdier and more comfortable. The fit is not great for wider, flatter feet however. And, the upper boot gets scraped up easily if used for roller hockey.

cheap where you don't see
Comments:
Rollerblade uses those cheap plastic spacers on the wheels that don't last at all, so the first thing you should do if buying these skates to order a set of alu wheel spacers with them.

Good product but a little narrow
Comments:
The wheel is good and smooth. What potential customers need to know is that the width is narrow and the weith is a little heavy.

Excellent Product
Comments:
My 8 year old son loves the skates. He ist starting at size 2 and will have the skates for years. Each time we go out, he skates 4-5 miles at a time and he has not complained of any sore spots or poor fit. Everything about the skates has a solid feel.

I decided to get the Spitfire LX over the Spitfire because they have larger wheels, look cooler and only cost a little extra (not much considering my son will have them for years).

Well worth the investment!
Comments:
I bought my first Rollerblade skates in 1987, and upgraded to Coolblades in the early 90s. After 10 years of regular skating up to 10 miday and innumerable new sets of wheels and bearings, I moved, got married, had a kid, and found I didn't have time to skate anymore. Recently, my son (now 9) decided to try skating and loved it--so when I went to buy him a pair I wanted to make sure he'd have a great experience and would want to continue to skate (with me!) for years to come. We went around to local stores but were not able to find anything that provided the support he needed to quickly gain confidence, nor the performance I know he'll need once he does. After some research online, I found the Spitfire and Spitfire LX, which promised not only to provide a great experience, but also to grow with his foot, likely making the investment much more worthwhile! Though LX model was significantly more expensive, I decided to go with it because it comes with a 76mm wheel instead of a 72mm, and I figured the larger wheel would provide a smoother and faster ride--a better experience--which I wanted my son to have out of the gate. My son was excited about the looks of either version of the Spitfire--red or yellow (LX), and far preferred their styling to any other skates we looked at. The other feature that my son was particularly excited about was that while the skates are laced, the "speedlace" system means he doesn't have to tie them. Once the skates arrived [...] my son could not wait to try them out, and as soon as he put them on found that he could skate much more easily and confidently than he had been able to with any other pair he had tried, probably mostly because of the improved ankle support afforded by the combination of boot design, fit, and closure system, and also in spite of the fact that they were far faster than any of the others. Also unlike any skate he had tried before, these skates do not produce sore spots on his foot or ankle, even after a long skate. To top it all off, the skates fit him perfectly at their smallest size setting, so we'll be able to get 3 full sizes of growth out of them! Even though these skates were 3 times the price of the "cheap" skates I could have bought for them, I feel that they were and are well worth the investment, because of the likelihood that he'll be able to use them for a long time and more importantly because he is likely to want to!

Q: how do i adjust them to make them bigger

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: On the Rollerblade Spitfire LX skates there is a spring action button towards the front, outside part of the skates (right behind where the numbers are). If you press this in you should be able to adjust the size in or out to the appropriate size.
