Designed and built for the serious fitness skater who is looking to strengthen their skating, and participate in advanced fitness training activities. Rollerblade has created this pair of Tempest 100 Inline Skates just for men. The new slimmer construction boot is soft and made of a fiber tech shell to provide you with durability along with a superior fit like no other. Fast, smooth and effortless is what you will experience each time that you take to the road, track or surface to begin your cardio pumping distance skating. The extruded aluminum frame is tough, stiff and durable, allowing you to skate farther, faster and easier with less effort. A stiffer frame has less flex and movement, this reduces the amount of energy that is lost when energy is transferred to the spiral HP wheels. The boot closure consists of a cuff buckle, 45 degree power strap and performance asymmetrical lacing for a precise and custom fit each and every time you strap them up. The SG9 bearings will determine the smoothness of your ride and your ability to reach higher speeds with less effort, thus creating a longer roll for you to use to your advantage. The liner consists of a precision five star fit that is made of memory foam and anatomical pads that are lighter in weight and allow for your feet to remain much cooler on those long distance training days. This low profile boot with the 45 degree strap and high end components will be the essential part of your inline skating while providing you with support around your ankles for lateral movements that are key to your cardio pumping workout. Comments about Rollerblade Tempest 100 Inline Skates:
I typically commute anywhere from 8 miles to 40 miles in a day, so my skates need to feel like a natural extension of my feet. I was excited about the big 110s and the 2 and 2 vs. a 3 and 1 wheel differential - I figured it would be easier to replace 4 and 4. In theory, these sounded like the perfect skate! I was excited to get them and try them on.
Out of the box, they looked great! The heels seemed almost bullet proof and the wheel frame was adjustable to the inside or outside which would have given the perfect stance. Well, that is unless you want to use the brake. I tried them on. They took a lot longer to put on than my current skates and while I could stand and put on my current skates (RB Crossfire), these were more challenging, due mostly to the traditional laces. Once I had them on, the ankle support was next to nothing and they felt a little off, but my last pair felt odd until I started skating. I hoped for the best and took them to the street. Within a mile, I knew these were not going to work. I had to overtighten them to give the illusion of support. Also, there was a seam in the boot insert that laid uncomfortably accross my foot. My right foot didn't feel that, so it was possibly just a sewing error? All in all, I have to return these minus the %20 restocking fee. :-( I have few other options, especially in this already high price range.
Advice: Try on several pairs and stand around as long as you can in them. Don't try them, but stand in them. If you can stand for an hour and they feel great, keep them. If you are on the fence, send them back and you are only out shipping!
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was decent and in good shape. Customer service was excellent all the way. Unfortunately, policies are policies and they can't resell these as new so I'm out $50 plus shipping. Now I am even further set back from buying a new pair.

Comments about Rollerblade Tempest 100 Inline Skates:
I skate from my house to the train station for work everyday. These are great skates. However, when I first used them, they seemed to be a lot faster. Might be the sg9 bearings. I plan on upgrading the bearings and using speed cream. That should take care of it. Also I'm looking for extra wheels just in case but a matching set of 100mm and 110mm is kind of hard to find. Great skates for the street.

Comments about Rollerblade Tempest 100 Inline Skates:
my last skates were RB lightnings with 84mm wheels. the tempests' 110/100mms took no getting used to, its just a faster skate with much better glide, power transfer and goes over pebbles and debris better. Sizing: my last RBs were 10s so i got these in 10 and they fit exactly the same as the old RBs: snug. i buy at least 10.5 shoes but i like snug skates and use thin socks. the boot is sturdy. the tongue on each skate digs into my outer ankle a bit but i think this will soften up with further use. these are really a step up in performance and speed if you've been on smaller wheeled fitness skates.

Comments about Rollerblade Tempest 100 Inline Skates:
Great skates, the boot is amazing, excellent fit (make sure to buy based on actual foot size as 9.5 worked great for me). Very fast. Only minor con is given wheel size, can be somewhat difficult to turn on a dime to stop but great for speed turning around corners.
