Everything I expected!
Comments:
Initially I was concerned that the boot would be too stiff and narrow. I have a medium width foot. These skates are more comfortable than the skates I've been using for 5 years! Also love the convenience of the Xboa lacing system. Finally, these skates were easy to adjust to.., light and comfortable. Just having a blast with these skates!

looking for speed
Comments:
steel cable no laces, very lightweight I paid twice for what it cost now, It's a steal at this price, when I needed to replace the wheels 4-110mm and 4-100mm and standard 608 bearings. I found swiss bones ceramics bearings at amazon for half price (you need 16), After replacement of wheels and bearings, I clocked myself at top speed at 55 Mph. Love these skates, wish K2 made a skate with all 110mm wheels with a brake.

Q: Is this specific skate available for women? If not how does the sizing differ between men and women's skates? Would a 6.5 be ok if I usually wear a 7.5?
Asked : Oct 27, 2016
By : Janelle, United States
Know the answer? Answer this question

A:No, this skate is not available in a women's model, and is sized in men's sizing. To size correctly for women's sizing you will want to drop a full size from the size listed.

Q: Does the longer frame still allow maneuverability for changing direction, going backwards, etc?
Asked : Sep 12, 2016
By : ninjason, laurel md
Know the answer? Answer this question

A:Yes, but you will want to get used to the skates in a controlled environment. Depending on the skates you are coming from the time it will take to get used to can vary from the first time out to a handful of sessions. These skates are geared towards longer distance and speed skating so they are not going to corner and maneuver as well as recreational and urban style skates but all those actions are definitely possible with these skates.

Q: Will the mount system that attaches to the boot come off when skating and is this skate narrow like the other speed skates ? I have a thick foot so narrow won't work .
Asked : Jul 02, 2016
By : sarah, Torrance,CA
Know the answer? Answer this question

A:I would really hope the frame doesn't come off while skating, and this is not something that has been reported as happening. It is still a good idea to check your skates before each skate to ensure all bolts are tight. K2 skates don't come in wide widths and are fairly standard width. These do offer a softer boot than most speed skates so the fit will be a bit more forgiving than the stiff carbon race boots.

Q: Does the boot detach from the frame?
Asked : Jan 05, 2016
By : woody, Maryland
Know the answer? Answer this question

A:Yes, the K2 Radical X Boa skates feature a 195mm frame mounting set up and the frame and boot can be detached.

Q: Is it possible to remove break from the skate?
Asked : Mar 29, 2015
By : Masa, California
Know the answer? Answer this question

A:Yes, the brake is easily removed. Inside the skate box, you will receive a shorter axle screw to accommodate the wheel once the brake is removed.
