A:Both packs are the same size, 34 liter, but the size refers to the torso size. The S/M size is going to be best for a torso length of 16"-19" and the L/XL is going to best for a torso length of 18"-21"

Q: Is the back padding curve formed? And what is the steel frame?
A:The back padding is not really formed but will conform to the user's adjustments once set. The steel frame is found within the pack and gives the pack additional support allowing for more comfortable travel while wearing the pack.
