I made a recent decision to find an activity to get back into shape. After researching many brands, I decided to go with K2. I ordered the 2016 model and saved $50. The skates are stunning, comfy, easy to adjust. NO struggling with laces, just pull up and tuck them in behind the tongue. As for the ride, these skates ride very smooth on my local asphalt paved bike path and streets. The overall feel is very secure, smooth and dynamic. I absolutely love my skates and have now wanted to go 2-3x a day now. I want to also say that I had an amazing experience with customer service. Super helpful, super friendly, spoke english and really knew the product well! I am referring others to you folks!
I ended up getting these skates after doing a pretty extensive amount of research. They are great for intermediate to advanced skaters who are looking to do some recreational fitness skating. Prior to getting these, I actually bought a different pair through inlineskates that ended up being too large, so I returned them. They didn't have any in stock of a smaller size, so I got these instead, and I am really glad that I did.
The first thing I noticed is how comfortable these skates are compared to some other ones I have tried. They have a great ventilation system that keeps air flowing in. Visually, they look really nice too. K2 is a reputable brand, and their customer service is on point.
I have had these skates for about a year now, and I have logged hundreds of miles on them. Each time I go skating, I'm usually going for somewhere between 10 and 25 miles. The skates are comfortable the whole day through. I really only get any discomfort towards the beginning of skating season when my feet aren't tough yet., even then it is mild. I live in the city, and though I'm often skating on bike paths, I'm also on the roads and sidewalks as well. Boston has plenty of uneven or cobblestone areas, and the skates have held up beautifully given the amount of use they are getting. The shock absorption on the skates is also great. They give a smooth ride, and you can get a good amount of speed going when the wheels are in good shape.
A:Yes, these are going to fit great without being too stiff and demanding making them great for beginner skaters, but these skates do have enough features to make them great for intermediate to light advanced skaters as well. The wheels on these skates are 84mm which are small compared to what else is available nowadays but is still a large wheel compared to what was offered 5 years ago, so just take it easy at first and start off in a flat parking lot or path to get your bearings.
A:No, these are past season skates and we only have stock left in the sizes listed. We do have the current year model of this skate in stock in that size but it is a bit more in price due to being a newer model skate.
A:At this time no inline skate manufacturer makes a "wide" skate. You can accommodate for width by adding in a heel lift to the rear of the skate. This will pull the heel up and alleviate some side to side pressure in the boot. In some cases it's best to go up a half size to accommodate for the extra width.

Q: Are these skates laterally adjustable? Are any K2 skates laterally adjustable? Would you consider listing lateral adjustability in your general skate specifications?

A:The brake on this skate is removable, and you will need a shorter axle when the brake is removed. The axle doesn't come with the skates but contact customer service at 888-271-7500 and they will get one sent out for you.
