IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE
Rollerblade® brand Tempest model inline skates The mounting holes in the boot and frame can be misaligned, causing the boot to separate from the frame and posing a fall hazard. This voluntary recall includes any Tempest model inline skate that contains silver frame mounting bolts. Skates were sold from December 2010 through January 2014. Skates purchased after January 2014 with black frame mounting bolts have been inspected and are not part of this recall.

Please stop using your Tempest skates immediately and return them – at no cost to you – for a free product inspection and replacement if necessary. We will inspect and return your skates promptly so you can get back out skating as quickly as possible. Rollerblade USA takes extraordinary pride in each product that is sold under the Rollerblade brand. Rollerblade USA found that the mounting holes in the boot and frame in Tempest model skates can be misaligned causing the boot to separate from the frame, posing a fall hazard. Misalignment could make it difficult to loosen and correctly retighten mounting bolts when you adjust the boot position, and an improperly attached frame could become loose and detach from the boot.
Rollerblade USA, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is voluntarily recalling all Tempest skates produced through 2013. These skates have silver frame mounting bolts and are listed below. Skates purchased after January 2014 with black frame mounting bolts are not part of this recall.

If you have Rollerblade brand Tempest model inline skates with silver mounting bolts, immediately stop using your skates and contact Rollerblade USA for a free inspection. We will inspect the mounting holes on the boot of each skate. If the mounting holes are aligned properly and pass inspection, we will return your skates to you with black mounting bolts to indicate they have passed inspection. If your skates do not pass inspection, they will be replaced at no charge with a new model.
Please contact customer service at 1-800-232-7655 or email us at RCS@Rollerblade.com to return your skates for inspection. All freight charges to and from Rollerblade USA will be at no cost to the consumer.
