Hi, welcome to the Daily Spin. I'm Steve, the owner of, and joining us today straight from Seattle headquarters, is their skate guru, Mike. Yes, yes, I am. Yes, you is. Yes, I are. Can you tell us a little about the Kinetic 80 Skate today? I sure can. All right. So, Kinetic 80 is a step up from the Kinetic 78. Exactly. It's $20 more but I think it's well worth the extra $20. It's got a lot of, I think, real nice performance features. Can you tell us the difference between the two skates? Well, the main difference you're going to find in the 78 and the 80 is you've got this 80mm wheel so you get a little bit bigger wheel. What that does is it increases your speed, it creates a smoother roll and it just makes it a little bit more fun all around, in my opinion. And as you go up in skates in general, the wheels continue to get bigger so bigger wheels are always found on more performance skates. Exactly. Exactly.

And then your other feature that's different is this K2 Speedlace System and pretty much what this is is a locking mechanism down here connected to the lace and pretty much when you get in your skate, all you need to do is give one snug tug to this handle right here, roll it up and you are locked into your skate. That basically tightens all those lower laces that on some skates you have to literally tie a bow. Exactly. Exactly. So, it's a one-stop shop for closing this skate. It creates a nice, snug fit. You've also got the Powerstrap and the ratcheting buckle which complete the fit. They pull your ankle back and close this cuff so the big upgrades are the wheel and this Speedlace System. And the key to getting good performance and enjoying inline skating is a comfortable fit but also a snug fit. You don't want your foot moving around, you get a blister, you lose performance, you don't get good support. So, between those three closure systems, you're going to get a really nice fit on this skate. Exactly. Exactly. We want this skate to fit like a firm handshake. It's a performance piece of footwear and that's what we deliver to you. So, can you describe for us the ideal customer for this skate? Well, it's a recreational skate so it's for that new skater who wants a great value or it's for someone who had a pair of skates in the past that weren't really a quality skate and they want to jump into the quality of what a K2 Softboot delivers. And at the price, it's for that value-oriented customer as well. Yeah. You can't beat the value. Okay, so there you have it. That's the K2 Kinetic 80 for women. I'm Steve. Thanks for joining us on this edition of the Daily Spin.
