Q: Will ILG 9 bearings fit on these? If so will they increase my max speed and performance? What is a pro tip for lubricating and how often do you recommend doing so? I plan on using these for about 3-4 hours per week, mainly on the long stretch of paved beach trails. Thanks!
A: Those bearings would work fine with this skate. 99.99% of all bearings for inline skates are the standard 608 size, there was a stint where "micro bearings" were a thing but that fad died about 15 years ago. You can clean and lubricate bearings (see our learning section for tips) but if you keep clear of dirt and water while skating your bearings will stay fairly clean. I am horrible about cleaning my bearing but I am good at avoiding debris and water on my paths and with today's bearings they stay in good shape for a long while from my experience.

Q: Is there a wheel brand you recommend when my wheels wear out? Also, can you put 84mm wheels on this frame?
A: Yes, you could go down to 84mm if you wanted a slightly smaller wheel setup. I have been partial to the Rollerblade brand wheels in recent years, the Supreme is a solid wheel but the Hydrogen is my cream of the crop choice if money is no object. The rebound and response in the Hydrogen wheels are out of this world and they last a long time.

Q: Do these run true to size or do you need to size up?
A: Inline skates fit very close to your everyday shoe size. So if you wear a size 10 in your daily shoes the size 10 would be correct. Skates do take some time to break in and can expect them to fully break in after a few times skating.

Q: Does the estimated ship date of Thu Oct 22 really mean what it says ? That the skates will not be shipped until then?
A: Yes, unfortunately that is indeed what that means. The manufacturers are working hard to meet greater inventory demand and we are working hard to get the inventory from them as soon as possible. Turns out inline skating is a great social distancing activity and skate demand has far surpassed anything projected.

Q: What is the base length of the frames (center of 1st wheel to center of 4th wheel)?
A: Unfortunately, we do not have access to our skate warehouse to physically measure these types of things. We would suggest contacting the manufacturer directly, here is their customer service request page: https://k2skates.com/en-us/support/contact-support
