Very amateur buyers here - we have used them several times since purchasing and can’t stop! Smooth ride over pavement with bumps/gaps in the connection joints. This purchase made our summer!

These are great! 10 miles the first day and no blisters and were super comfortable. I had to go down 1/2 size to get a good fit. I bought the K2 100mm several years ago and the they always somehow did not seem like the frames were set up correctly for my balance. I have already put 50 miles on my new skates and love them!Hide
A: Main difference is the VO2 S offers the new VO2.2 Frame which is lighter weight.

Q: How flexible is this boot? I have a deformity on my foot with a bone leaning out on the inside of my foot. My footwear basically is tennis shoes and moccasin as they conform to my foot.
A: The softboot offers some give but it's still very supportive and in being supportive is going to be much stiffer than a traditional tennis shoe. You could go with a 1/2 size larger than your shoe size to allow some more room in the boot and offer the ability to add an aftermarket footbed or heel lift, the heel lift might work well to bring your foot up in the skate to alleviate some side to side pressure. You could also go with a men's skate if you think width will be a factor as men's skates are wider but they also have a higher cuff as women's skates offer a lower cuff to accommodate a woman's lower calf muscle. Also you will need to allow for some break in time as skates can take a few times skating in them to break in.

Q: I'm torn between the K2 VO2 90 Pro Women's and the K2 VO2 90 Boa Women's. At first glance, I assumed the lacing system was the only difference but I'm also noticing a cuff difference. Do you have information on how to compare the K2 Original Softboot with the Custom Fit Foam? Is one style typically preferred over the other and if so, why? Are you able to heat mold both the softboot and the foam? Also, why is the K2 VO2 90 Pro classified as intermediate and the Boa considered advanced? Aside from the cuff and the lacing, the rest of the equipment looks the same. Am I not seeing something that is worthy of considering? Thanks!!
A: Both are great skates and you're looking at only a difference in the lacing system, that is all. Both skates offer the VO2 Cuff and VO2.2 Frame, as well as the same liner although you've noticed we call it different things on the two listings, we are going to update them to match. The V02 90 skate is a great model and offers nice fit and performance, and the choice will come down to your preference in the closure type and whether the convenience of the Boa is worth the extra money to you. The liner is not heat moldable, but don't fret the natural body heat from your foot will mold the skate's liner to your specific foot shape. Hope all this helps and have fun skating!

Q: How do you take the brake off?
Asked : Feb 02, 2018
By : musiclovingweirdo, santa rosa California
A: You will need an additional short axle not included with the skates. Contact customer service for that. But to get the job done you simply remove the rear wheel on the skate with the brake and then remove the brake apparatus. You then will need the short axle to replace the longer axle used with the brake and will simply reattach the wheel.
