Q: Hi. I have several questions about this pair of skates that I hope you can answer. My last pair were Riedell Gold Star Boots w/Sure Grip plates. I would like to know if the weight of Legacy boot w/DynaPro plate is lighter, or if you could give me the exact weight of each skate? Also I'm wondering about the comparison between the Legacy and the Epic skate with a 220 boot. Is there really that much difference in their performance for the money? I'm very torn in making a decision between the two. Any additional information you can provide would greatly be appreciated.
Best regards-
AJ
A: The Riedell 336 Legacy skates will weigh approximately 3.2 lbs per skate with the the boot, plate and wheel all set up. The Epic and Legacy will have a similar set up, as well as performance, but the Legacy will come with an upgraded wheel as well as Swiss bearings, as opposed to ABEC 9 bearings. This will allow them to have a much better and smoother wheel rotation overall, and will make them faster.
