A: Rollerblade recommends going 1 size up from your shoe size so if you wear a 12 you may actually want the 13. It really depends on how you desire your fit, these skates fit tight and have a performance fit to them. If you like a tight fit you don't have to size up as much I've found, I wear a 10 and have Maxxum's in a 10.5 and the fit is spot on for me but it's tight, you have to like tight. Also keep in mind there is some break in time especially with these boots and you have to make sure the tongue is perfectly centered when tightening them. I love these boots but they are touchy in fit and you have to like a performance fit.

Q: I am looking for a wheel and bearing size-number that allows you to roll over pebbles and mulch pieces without it causing a hard stop. What do you recommend? I am intermediate to advanced skater and like to go long distances.

A: Any 100+ wheel size would deliver a smoother roll and allow you a longer stride than a smaller wheel to make it over most street debris. We would suggest a bearing grade of 7 or higher as well to pair with the larger wheel size, so you won't have to work as hard with each stride.

Q: Is the Maxxum edge 90 W different than the regular? I like the Orange Sapphire color better, I have yo change to a size 8 because it runs small the 7.5 is to tight
A: Women's specific skates are sized specifically for a woman's footshape. They will be slightly narrower and will offer a lower cuff in the back which fits a woman's lower calf muscle. For sizing please click on the sizing chart next to the sizes listed on this page.

Q: I bought the Twister Edge in size 10 but they were REALLY tight, it was really hard to put them on and even harder to take them out. I already return them and I have received my refund, thanks for that. I want to buy these Maxxum Edge 90, what size do you recommend to buy these one's? 10.5 or 11? My foot size in centimeters is 26.8cms (lenght) and the widest part of my foot is 10.3 centimeters wide.
A: Rollerblade recommends going up a full size in the Maxxum series of skates but it depends on the type of fit you desire. I personally went up only a 1/2 size and my Maxxums fit snug but I prefer that type of fit. The Maxxum is a tight fitting skate and if you had an issue with the Twister the hard shell tight fit may not be your style. A softer style boot may be worth checking out like the K2 Sodo or the K2 Trio series.
