Q: Hi... does metroblade (3WD or GM) have shock absorber feature? My feet is 25CM... should I go for 39 or 40? Do you ship to Indonesia?

A: Size 39 is equivalent to a size 7 in US sizing so take the Metroblade in that size. Yes, this skate does have the HSE (Heel Shock Eraser) from Rollerblade.

Q: I have a wider foot. The ignitors worked great for me. The Tempests I am in cause outter edge foot pain from the more narrow fit. Would the Metroblade boot be wider than the tempest, or would you recommend me go for the Macroblade.

A: With a wide foot you will be best off with the Macroblade, that is not to say the Metroblade wouldn't work for you but you'd have to work at it. With the proper footbed, maybe a heel lift, and possibly sizing a 1/2 size large and letting the skates break in you could achieve a good fit in the Metroblade. If you are looking for a good fit that you don't have to work as hard to achieve the Macroblade is going to be the way to go.

Q: Can I put 125mm wheels on these? I originally wanted the Powerslide Imperial Megacruiser 125, but, I like that these skates have a velcro strap up top rather than a cuff buckle; I feel like I can't get the fit I want with cuff buckles so this is a major plus for me. If I could also get the 125mm wheels.. well, that'd be the icing on the cake.

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The largest wheels the Metroblade 3WD will accept is 110mm so you won't be able to add a larger wheel without replacing the frame. The Tempest 125 3WD will get you the 125mm wheels in a Rollerblade skate but it switches to a more standard boot with a top ratchet strap and not a Velcro. If it were me and I had to have the Velcro I would go with the Metroblade and then skate on it with the 110 mm wheels and if they ended up being too small and I wanted to try the 125mm you could get the tempest frames and mount them on the Metroblade giving you the ability to go up to 125mm on the Metroblade boot.

Q: How long does it typically take to break these in? I'm 9.5 shoe size (mens) and ordered a 10 skate. I had to take them off after 10 minutes due to extreme discomfort. I will try again tomorrow and so forth. I am hoping to skate several miles around the area later in the Spring and Summer...

Know the answer? Answer this question

A: The Metroblade boot is designed to fit as close to the foot as possible so you can expect a snug and narrow fit. Personally I would expect it to take 6-8 times out skating in them to really break them in, with some slight discomfort found in that time. The Metroblade is not designed for the every now and then skater and offers a stiff performance fit so it does have a buffering zone before the fit is where you want it, once that break in time is complete though skaters are rewarded with a tight fit that offers precise control over the skates and an incredible power transfer from skater to skate.
