Q: Does it mean I cannot clean these if they are considered non serviceable? And if so, do I simply need to replace them every so often, and how often?
A: Non serviceable simply means that you cannot remove the shield to get inside the bearing to clean. Water, dirt and debris can get into the bearing but so can cleaning agents and lubricating oil. It's best to keep bearings clean and dry, and to clean and oil them every so often. Replacing bearings is not an exact science and every skater is different but you'll know when it's time to replace and nowadays bearings are much more inexpensive so I just keep an extra set in my skate bag.
A: These do not have the traditional ABEC rating but are similar to an ABEC 7. Companies like K2 and Rollerblade stopped paying to have the ABEC name in the rating but the numbers in the names can be used to categorize them as one would with traditional ABEC rated bearings.

Q: What material are the ball retainers made of inside these bearings? Is it safe to clean these with acetone?

A: The inner diameter of this bearing is 8mm which is the most commonly used size in both inline skates and roller skates. This will work with most all roller skates and is the industry standard.
