Q: Hi, is it possible to swap the frame on these for a 165mm mount rollerblade triskate frame similar to metroblade 3WD?. Keen to go up to 110mm wheels and love the boot on these.

Q: I tried the 2015 Twister and it was tough on the ankle - didn't form right and very uncomfortable. I enjoy a tight fit and strong ankle support, but it has to feel right. How does the 2017 model compare? thx

A: There may be some subtle changes but nothing that is really noted from Rollerblade. Best bet would be to fine tune the fit once you have the skates. I have the Maxxums which have a similar if not the same liner and I had to change out the footbed to give myself a better feel and fit. Sometimes small changes like that are necessary to get you the proper fit for your footshape. I also noticed that if I don't have my tongue lined up 100% accurate it can reek havoc so the fit is somewhat finicky, but the skates rip once all set up correctly.

Q: hi, i want to buy these skates but I'm not sure the size, i am about 8/8.5 shoe size and about 8 1/4 foot size, i am afraid if i buy the size 8 that my foot will be squished at the top, and iv read people saying that it will not stretch because of the hard shell, and I'm afraid if i go for size 9 that there will be too much room in the front. thank you

A: These skates do fit very snug and some users go up a size to make up for that, I personally take them the same as my shoe size, 10.5 shoe and 10.5 skate. Sounds like you may be best in the size 8.5 which sounds to be the upper end of your regular shoe size. Keep in mind it will take a few times skating in these skates for them to break in and start feeling good, there may be some sore spots in the beginning but I found the fit after about 6 times out skating is very impressive. The hardboot design really offers you an amazing power transfer especially with a tight snug fit. Keep in mind when you first put on the skates you really want your toes to be just touching the front of the skates as long as your toes are not curled or crushed.

Q: Hello there, I'm trying to decide which skate to buy, the 2017 Twister X or 2016 Twister Pro. I noticed the 2016 Twister Pro has what looks like a higher spec frame (similar or the same to that of the Metroblade GM). Given that the bearings, boot, lining and wheels are all the same (maybe a slight upgrade to the Twister X lining) is the 2016 Twister Pro a better skate due to the a higher spec frame or am I totally wrong on that? To me the Twister X has the same frame as the Standard Metroblade, a slightly lower spec frame but the 2016 Twister Pro has the higher frame spec on the Metroblade GM. Thank you in advance. Kind regards

A: Yeah, the Twister Pro's only discernible difference from the Twister X is the higher grade frame. That being said both skates are absolutely fabulous and offer many of the same features. Really, only very intense skaters are even going to notice the difference in the frames. Currently we have a limited size run in the Twister Pro since it is from the previous season, and is marked down to the same price as the Twister X so if it's available in your size it's a great skate for the money. Another thing to keep in mind is that the Twister X comes with a brake and the Twister Pro does not.
