Q: I'm a woman, and I think that I want a rhythm skate. I don't see any rhythm skates for women- only "artistic", and I'm not really solid on the differences between the two. I do think that I would prefer the higher boot, but I'm not sure. Can someone help me choose the right skate? Is it okay to wear a men's boot? Thanks!

Know the answer? Answer this question
A: Rhythm skates are designed for dance style movement going with the flow of the music and beat, which is why the ankles are higher in order to give better ankle support. Artistic skates are basically figure skates on wheels and are used for such, but are also used for everyday rink skating. You can go with either although the Rhythm skates may offer too much support for regular skating. You can go with a men's boot, simply size down 1 full size from your regular women's shoe size.
